If you have a question about doing some modifications or work on your LS1, chances are someone else has already asked the same question somewhere else.

Here is a list of sites that offer install guides and tips on how to perform common modifications and maintenance tasks.

A great site featuring some more advance articles, such as a cam swap and how to upgrade your heads.

InstallUniversity.com

A great site for beginners, featuring step by step how-to’s for all the beginner mods, including changing your air lid and doing the “Free Ram Air” mod.

BlackCamaro.com

Has some unique articles including a few adding some of the more popular SLP aftermarket parts such as the LoudMouth catback exhaust.

LS1Tech.com

The largest LS1 based forums on the Internet. Everything is covered here. You can post your questions and usually have the right answer in less than 5 minutes.

CamaroSource.ca

A fellow Canadian site with forums and a very handy Review section where you can read about peoples’ personal experiences with various aftermarket parts.

I’m trying to modify my LS1 engine. I already know that it packs heat, but i’d like to add a few things, to turn it into a rocket ship. When i do the modifications, what’s smog going to be like? And how do i maintain an engine so sophisticated to last at least 5 years.

I’m thinking about adding a fuel injection air filter kit, headers, intake manifold, a cooling system, camshaft, a radiator, some chip shit, ignition pack, and a high performance starter. That’s all i want to do with the engine.
